SOOTHR was honestly one of the best Thai restaurants I’ve had. The restaurant was packed when we went, which made it a little hard to have a conversation, but the food definitely made up for it. The Yum Nuer was my favorite dish. The beef was tender and flavorful, and the combination of flavors was really good. I loved it so much that I could’ve easily ordered another one. The Beef Pad Si Iw was also really good, with a nice savory flavor and just the right amount of sweetness. The Chicken Khao Soi was probably the most flavorful dish we had. It was a little too spicy for me, but still really delicious. The Thai tea was also really good and went perfectly with the meal. Overall, everything we tried was flavorful and well done. The Yum Nuer was definitely the highlight for me, and I’d definitely come back.

Tucked away in a little storefront is this absolutely gem. You have 90 minutes to eat, but trust me that is plentyyyy of time. Menu is very extensive and drink options looked super cool as well. After you order the food comes out almost instantaneously. This was some of the best food I’ve had in the city. Staff were all super friendly and welcoming, the food was prepared to perfection and although the space can get tight, they run it like a well oiled machine. Would recommend coming here with friends for a quick dinner!

I visited Soothr a couple of years ago, and when I came back to NYC from Seattle for a football game, I knew I had to bring my friends here. It did not disappoint! As a Thai person, I can honestly say the food is incredibly authentic, every dish is full of flavor and tastes just like home. The food came out surprisingly fast, and the service was just as impressive. The staff were warm, friendly, and attentive throughout our meal. The best part? Every single one of my friends loved the food, and they’re already talking about coming back. It’s easy to see why Soothr has earned a Michelin Star. We only have 3 days in NYC but we visit Soothr twice in this trip :) If you’re looking for authentic Thai food in NYC, this place is an absolute must-visit. Highly recommended!

This review is based off my experience of a special collab dinner hosting chef Yia Vang however I feel that it is still a clear reflection of how the restaurant is run and the clear genius that comes out of that kitchen. Every item was so carefully prepared with flavors that were reminiscent of a mother’s cooking but were presented in a fine dining fashion. I’m not very fluent in Thai food but the staff was very attentive and knowledgeable about every element that was presented to me. My favorite dish of the night was the whole cooked branzino. It was steamed to perfection and Maintained great flavor from head to tail. I look forward to going back and trying more from the Soothr team

Beautiful restaurant with lots of ethnic charm and décor that you can’t miss the moment you walk in. The space is impressively large, much bigger than most Asian restaurants I’ve visited in New York City. We ordered Tom Yum seafood hotpot, mii moo tod, beef pad see ew, Panang duck lychee, moo krob, and a couple of vegetable dishes. The Tom Yum hotpot was packed with fresh seafood, and the broth had a great balance of sour, spicy, and sweet. The Panang duck lychee was wonderful. I never had duck in a Thai restaurant. The duck breast was so tender in creamy and flavorful curry. The moo krob was excellent too, with crispy skin and moist, tender pork belly. The beef pad see ew had a nice smoky wok flavor. The service was efficient despite how busy it was. Great variety of Thai and Chinese dishes, and definitely worth coming back to try other items on the menu.
